Chiropractic has been a natural form of health care since 1895 when D.D. Palmer developed the practice. For over 115 years people have benefited from chiropractic care.
Chiropractors are trained to evaluate the spine and nervous system to locate and correct spinal misalignments. These misalignments are called subluxations. When a subluxation is present, it causes irritation to the body’s nervous system, which is the body's master control center and consists of the brain and spinal cord. This irritation causes dysfunction in the communication from the nervous system to other systems of the body including but not limited to the immune, lymphatic, digestive, respiratory, circulatory and reproductive systems.
Chiropractors correct subluxations through gentle, specific adjustments that are delivered either by hand or with the aid of an instrument. Once the subluxation is corrected, the communication from the brain to the rest of the body is no longer disrupted and the body is able to function at its optimal levels to use its natural ability to heal itself.
